My name is Thomas, I'm 35, I hold a degree in Advertising and a postgraduate degree in Data Science. I believe two of my main traits are: curiosity and analytical thinking. Combined, they bring many solutions to problems and projects in general.
I love building solutions. I love testing the same feature endlessly to find the best way to make it work. I see the solution quickly, prototype, test and fix in short cycles. Iterating many times in a short window is one of my greatest strengths.
I've been a Product Designer for 5 years. I worked at Conexa, a reference in telemedicine in Latin America, and at Zenklub, a reference in online psychology in Brazil. Today, in a news verification startup I recently co-founded, I work as a Design Engineer, building interfaces directly in code with rapid prototyping and working with LLM fine-tuning and RAG applied to fact-checking. I also founded DopaDjin, a nootropic supplements brand, an experience that gave me a complete business view, from product conception to the point of sale and beyond.
I'm a fan of the Disney way of delighting customers and I believe that's the path to any product's success. Creating the best possible experience.
I learned English watching movies and traveling, although I'm not practicing conversation as much these days. I've been to the United States and Asia at very different points in life. I hosted 54 episodes of the Hawly Podcast in one season, and I play in a weekend band.
This varied background, combined with curiosity and a will to learn, gives me a 360° view of situations, often spotting alternatives off the beaten path.
To wrap up, I also have some skills in data analysis, which makes communication with the Data Science team easier and is essential for tracking metrics like activation, retention and conversion, validating hypotheses and iterating based on evidence.
